I found something yummy to do with turnips. I don’t bother with the sugar or lemon juice.
1 lb turnips; 1Tblsp butter; 3/4 c broth; sugar (opt); 1Tbls lemon juice (opt).
Peel and slice turnips into 1/2″ slices. Melt butter in large skillet. Collk turnips over low heat in the butter until they have softened, ~ 10 minutes. Add broth and sprinkle with sugar to taste. Simmer until tender. Uncover and let sit for a few minutes until sugar looks like a glaze. Sprinkle with lemon juice.
