The Beginnings of a Solution

April 15, 2011

We bought two large water tanks for the purpose of collecting water off our house/garage and off a neighbor’s house.  These tanks hold 1550 gallons of water each.  We hope to get them hooked up very soon to catch the spring rains and reduce the amount of metered water we use to irrigate the farm.  These two tanks are in addition to the six regular sized rain barrels we have in the yard collecting off our house and the next-door neighbor’s house.

The empty tanks are very heavy and it took the cooperation of many hands to move them off the street, where the truck dropped them off, and into the yard to their temporary secure site.
